Husky puppies are one of the most sought after pets for a variety of reasons. Husky puppies make great family pets because they have an excellent temperament, they are great with children, and they are relatively easy to care for.
Siberian Huskies are one of the friendliest dog breeds. They are usually rather calm and they are known to be one of the more sociable dogs. Huskies are part of the working group so they need an outlet to burn off some of their energy. Working Dogs are known to be independent and if they are not put to work, they can sometimes be hard to manage. Anyone who is thinking about getting a husky puppy should be an experienced dog owner who is capable of firm training. Husky puppies are very intelligent and they usually respond well to training. Like their ancestors, the wolf, huskies do not bark much. However, just like wolves, they are prone to howling.
Because the Siberian Husky has such a delightful temperament, they are very good with children. They are very affectionate and playful. The huskies gentle disposition may be a heritage from the past. The Chukchi people had the utmost respect for their dogs and they treated them as a member of the family. The Chukchi people let their dogs live alongside them in their family shelters and they always encouraged their children to play with them.Today, we still see the same strong bonds between huskies and children.
Husky puppies are relatively easy to care for. Huskies are by nature clean and they usually do not have any odor. When huskies are groomed their coats do not require and clipping or trimming. Their coats are however thick and they do require periodic brushing to keep their fur from matting. Huskies usually shed their coats once a year, and this is a good time to brush your husky.
