Try Natural Beef Bones For Dogs

If you have been looking for a dog bone that will keep your pooch occupied for quite a while, then I highly recommend getting your dog an all natural beef bone. I have an extremely rambunctious Labrador Retriever that craves constant entertainment. While retrieving is his favorite sport and past time, it is impossible to play fetch with him all day long. I needed to find another outlet for my lab so I decided to try getting him some dog bones.

The first type of dog bone that I purchased for my dog was a regular rawhide dog bone. Rawhide dog bones are one of the most popular dog bones on the market and most dogs enjoy chewing one them. It wasn’t that my dog didn’t enjoy the chew bone, he just destroyed it and then devoured it in minutes. I knew that I needed something stronger.

The next type of dog bone that I tried was the compressed rawhide dog bones. Compressed rawhide is a much tougher, stronger dog bone and they do last longer than regular rawhide. However, I had gotten some of the flavored compressed rawhide dog bones and they made a bit of a mess. I would definitely recommend the pressed rawhide dog bones as long as you give them to your dog outside.

The dog bone that my dog enjoyed the most and that lasted the longest was an all natural beef bone. Natural beef bones are extra hard, heat sterilized and they will last for a long time. All natural beef bones are extremely durable bones unlike some of the discount bones that tend to splinter. Dr’s. Foster and Smith have an excellent line of all natural beef dog bones. The bones are available in two flavors: natural or hickory. What’s great about these bones is that they won’t stain your carpet. The bones are also available will a filled center. If you do however decide to go with the filled bones, I would recommend feeding them to your dog outside because they are a little messy too.
