Man Gives Puppy Vodka
This is truly amazing to me (and not in a good way). Jared Colony was asked to watch a friend’s Puggle puppy. While under his care, Jared poured vodka into the puppy’s bowl and encouraged the pup to drink it. After 30 minutes, the owner returned, “Pip was unresponsive, barley breathing with his tongue hanging out.”
Colony informed the owner, “Pip’s just a little drunk right now”.
After receiving critical care for almost two days, the puppy survived the alcohol poisoning.
“Animal abuse is an aggravated misdemeanor, punishable by up to two years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
Colony is in the Johnson County Jail on a $5,000 bond.” from Man Charged with Abuse for Giving Puppy Vodka
How in the world does someone get it in his/her head that giving vodka to a dog is a good idea???
That’s just it: they don’t get it in their heads. It’s a stupid and half thought out impulsive.
What amazes me is that Colony would do it to his friend’s puppy. With friends like that, who needs enemies?
I wondered if Colony was already drinking when the pup was dropped off. I would hope he would not have come up with that idea when sober.
So cute! that pup was a perfect cross breed of pug and beagle. nice to know he survived the poisoning!
I think this guy is where he belongs behind bars. Having his name public will shame him I’m hoping and maybe even realize what an a$# he is, and hope he never has an animal in his care. I love the pictures that you use with your post, they are the bomb! Very cute, great job. jj

Its an absolute disgrace what some people do to pets. The idiot probably thought it was a funny thing to do, rather than intending to do the dog harm, but that is no excuse. People like that make me sick.

Awful people! I’ve heard another story about a man that gave his dog every day a bowl of beer. He really loved and licked everything but after one year he died of cirrhosis of the liver. These people have to be punished according all the provisons of the law!!!And upon second thought that some of them make it for fun…
